Do recording studios add different instruments to help layer a song you write?

Just curious because I play guitar but I want to record a song that has drums, piano, and everything. So do recording studios do this as well?

You have to let them know what specifically it is that you want, and you will either have to pay for other musicians to come in during the recording session or pay to have somebody add the digital equivalents of those instruments to the song

  2. Yes. Audacity will also. I play in a few bands my dad has a band studio in are withing room and all we do is record music adding different tracks. He plays in a band. But there are more programs out there.

  3. Yes, usually studios will hire session musicians to play on recordings. However this will probably cost you more money. Usually before a recording session, the recording staff and client will sign an agreement entailing everything that is to be expecting for the session, so session musicians should be added if that’s what you want
