I think you should try to be a bit more specific… Studio equipment is used to (in a very blunt statement) make your pictures better. It will increase the control that you have over your final results, deepen the blacks, highlight the whites, and bring out the mids, it allows you to create shadow detail in areas and completely take it out in other areas.
