@DaKraYZieThuG hey i advise you all to look into getting protools mbox 2 mini!…this is not very expensive and its industry standard…….if you dont want to get that …i advise you getting logic pro. protools mbox can be found on ebay!…for low pricing…you could prolly find a good used one…or a brand new one for a lower price. Secondly i advise you to look into getting a condensor mic. they run from 30 dollars to in the thousands…you can find a good inexpensive one to start you off

if i could get some help from you it would be great. me and my dude are trying to record some music. acid pro for the beats and thats about it. we have hundreds of beats but we cant record, the quality is and were using a $10 computer mic straight into the mic input. its awful we just need to know a price range of, necessities programs aren’t a problem just the stuff to actually record quality if you wanna listen we recorded 1 song and this is what it sounded like, myspace/daytondba

@TripleM269 no you don’t need two hard drives i run protools right on my dell laptop…though it is nice to have an external hard drive to save ur music and recordings too…that way you dont clog up your pc as much!

@djhellfire1 yes…you and i kno that….but you have to understand that this is a tutorial for beginners…you cant confuse them…with stuff like that….i get messages saying..is that a keyboard can you you play it without the computer just by itself….and the answer to that is …NO….so you have to keep it simple…or someone will go buy it…trying to play live in church with it…lol!
And BTW, the midi …
And BTW, the midi controller IS a keyboard. It has keys and they are on a board. It just doesn’t have a built in synthesizer. But it is a keyboard! Lol!

I can’t believe you spent $300 on that Mbox from Ebay. You coulda got it locally from Guitar Center for that price and had it the same day. You shoulda paid much less on ebay, even brand new. But at least you got it!

nice vid, I run the same sort of set up…the Mini MBox w/ an AKG Perception 200…Pro Tools is the best vocal mixer for amateurs! The only thing I regret about getting the Mini instead of the MBox 2 Pro is the fact you can’t run MIDI on the Mini….so 2 ya’ll producers watching this thinking bout a new interface, get the Pro if you run MIDI

hey…u should be able to run that on most laptops…im running a dell with windows vista…its works perfectly…as long as you get 7.4 or newer it will run on this laptop…and it should run maybe from the range of 400 dollars to maybe 700..depending on what you get…so…just check most laptops of go to digidesign website..and see compatible comps..
