Tutorial: Sidechain Compression in FL Studio

This is a quick explanation and video tutorial of how to do sidechain compression in FL Studio.
Sidechain compression is when one sound is used to change the volume levels of another sound. Most commonly a Kick Drum or bass affecting a pad sound, however you can use whatever sounds you’d like.

    u can change the *0.4 to whatever u want but it has to be from 0.1 to 0.7

    I do excatly the same thing as your doing in this video. But mine doesn’t do the same as yours. The volume doesn’t seem to change that much from high to low. It just stays in the middle and bounce a bit.

    u’d better use real compressor: just link “threshold” to peak controller’s “peak”, unmute, adjust ratio of the comression and play with “decay” or “tension” of peak controller. this will be much more common with side chainnig, i think
