    @kazuss I dunno, I really liked their early stuff as well. One of the great things about SF is that they are NOT one of those bands that you have to turn a blind eye to their sucky early stuff before they had good producers. They have always made phenomenal music.

    All the switchfoot albums are realyl different. Beautiful letdown was jazzier/quieter imo, oh gravity was rockish, nothing is sound was heavier rock, a new way to be human seemed more latin/jazzish.etc

    oh gravity is a little different from the other albums, but isn’t that teh point? Beautiful Letdown was different from Nothing Is Sound but is that worth complaining about. i don’t think so.

    Nothing is Sound is …
    Nothing is Sound is my personal fave from them, I just loved that post-grunge grind to it, which is what I like about this song too. I really like this album so far though. They’ve really evolved in sound, but they actually sound good in their evolution. VERY good.
    The guitar tone to this song….it’s almost Chevelle-esque =D
