What is the guy behind the glass panel in a recording studio called?

In a recording studio, there’s a glass panel. On one side, it’s the vocalist or the band that’s recoding their stuff. On the other side, its the people who adjust the sound systems and does the digital stuff. What is that guy called?

The recording engineer.
