How should I make my home recording studio?

I need to know what I need to create ahome studio. My budget is low and I have a good enough mic a mic stand and thats it. Im recording onto my computer so if you have any ideas for music software or something tell me that too. Im about to purchase a multi track recorder so that might help. But I want to make good enough quality so that it can be ready for store shelves.

Do what I used to do. Go to someone elses. See if they will let you borrow there studio for a while. You will find many sympathetic people who understand what you are going through. Dont give up, and keep on going with your dreams.

If you "just" need to record audio (as opposed to requiring a sequencer too), then you’ll like the price of http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ .
