    It bugs me when people don’t know how to take a good portrait, and they put videos like this up on youtube. You are ruining the photos that so many people are going to take.

    Because you are attempting to use the bounced light coming from the over exposed background to then bounce off the front reflectors and onto the subject, you have created a classic flare situation that no amount of lens coating is going to solve. Meter the bounced background light that falls on the subject. If it is measuring more than 1/2 of a stop over your camera setting, you will get flare. Correct by using two additional lights (each to bounce off a front reflector), then cut back on bkgnd.
