I’m looking for a really good amateur photo studio package so I can just buy everything at once, instead of paying 5 shipping charges. I need lighting, a backdrop stand and basic studio equipment. I’m looking to spend less than $500. Any help is appreciated!

This months shutterbug magazine is a lighting special that reviews several lighting packages suitable for home studio use. I would recommend you take a look at it and see which fits the way you shoot. There is even one in your price range that has a chart on setting the lights up

Take a look when you do at the Westcott photobasics kits. They come with everything and are hotlights to keep the cost down,
