    @ZioZambe True. But for everything from 3/4 to head shots, you are better off using gels and cookies. Generally, for full length, I prefer to shoot on location, rather than in the studio.

    Forget muslins and canvas. Paint the back wall medium neutral grey, purchase 5, 10, 20, or 50 colored gels, purchase or make a few “cookies” to shoot the filtered light through, and presto…..you have the equivalent of hundreds of different background looks.
