Yes, that’s def ideal. I do have some foam under the monitors though to manage the bass response. I might add that this was also at my previous home to where I have my studio now. Lot’s has come and gone. I’ll be hopefully adding some more videos coming up soon. Thanks for the comments!

I understand that in your room space is an issue but it should be mentioned that it’s preferable to not have monitors in corners of the room.
Also (and im not positive about this) you probably want to Not have your monitors ontop of boxes or bins as it’s supposed to really mess with the bass response. U might want to try a some small diy shelfs or something on the cheap.

have the output …
have the output from your soundcard go to a channel in your mixer, then you can route the mixer’s control room output (not the main output) into an input of your soundcard and send your mic channel through the control room out – > soundcard – > recording software.
