What do I use for Portrait lighting in a home studio?
My growing photography business is in need of an actual studio, but I don’t want to double my bills! What can I use for lighting in a home based studio? I’d like to keep my options on the relatively inexpensive side. Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the off camera flash…I didn’t even think of that! And, by the way, your photos are beautiful!!
You can pick up cheaper lights at home depot like this not professional but it works

You can start out with one light and get big white cardboard to help add or fill light.

You can check out http://www.strobist.com and see what is going on there.
They tend to pride themselves on inexpensive setups. If you already own a flash for your camera that allows you to use manual settings, you are half way to using off-camera flash.
