this is so true man …
this is so true man. i’m 17 years old, and i’m looking at tons of different options to put together a home recording studio. i’ve always had a passion for writing and recording, so i’m pretty stoked. i try to gain as many tips and hints as possible to make things easier and to make my music sound superb.

Agreed. I have a home studio and have had one for a while. I’m 16 years old and still learning new tricks every day! I hate it when people just use a MIDI keyboard with all pre-generated sounds and make basic chord structures and lyrics and call it good. MIDI is good, but but when I use it, I take pre-generated sounds and modify them to create a whole new sound which is my own. But I agree 100% with you

I find that all of the kids who have what they like to refer to as a studio, which is nothing more than their old gaming PC, monitors, desk & a keyboard. thinking they’re automatically producer/engineers & making the hottest music mankind has every seen as well. sorry, wrong on both counts.
there are obviously exceptions to the rule, but I would say 95% of the time the studio is not a studio,its owner is not an engineer or producer, & the music is garbage.

yeah the SM57 is for vocals as well as micking amps and drums.i was kind of triying to avoid purchasing preamps for a while and using the interface’s ones meanwhile, but i don’t really know their performance.i’m aware that the oxygen has only 49 key but it’s that one, the 8v2 (25 key), or the 61key by behringer ( i don’t really trust behringer) cause of my budget.
also can`t afford monitors so i’ll just use headphones.later on i’ll get preamp, monitors and condnser.

if you want to …
if you want to record your voice (as I guess thats what the SM57 is for) I would try to invest a small amount into a microphone preamp and condenser microphone. To start as a budget studio these items should be fine, altho the Oxygen 49 is very limited to real keyboard players because it only has 49 keys.
