Have you had a chance to compare any of the MAudio Studiophile reference monitors to the EX66? I’ve been thinking of picking up a pair of their reference monitors sometime in the spring/summer (after I’ve paid off my new Mac Pro, heh.)

Also, what are the bass traps for? I mean, obviously they help dampen low frequencies, but is that beneficial for recording, or playback during mixing, or both?

Bass traps help during both tracking and mixing, but especially mixing.
