What is the best …
What is the best software if I want to be able to record actual instruments, write music (the same way either finale/sibelius or FL studio does), use loops, make beats and be able to edit it? Im looking for a software that does all of this, will work in a home studio. It doesnt matter if its for mac or pc either. Any suggestions?

Thanks guys…informative stuff. Question: In a very small (attic) room with large amounts of reverberation from the close walls, is it best to try to put absorbtion material everywhere possible, or leave gaps in between?

I have no idea how much Doug wants. Maybe check Ebay for current prices. I’m not a fan of Firewire type mixers. Doug had a Presonus and said it was terrible. Better to get a regular mixer and regular sound card / interface IMO.
