    for your sake, I …
for your sake, I will repeat my previous comments on this same thought. It’s pointless to provide examples. What matters is how it sounds in the Mix.
Your thoughts on how something sounds on its own (guitar ie.) is completely arbitrary. How something sounds in context is how you create a good mix.
These are only ideas that I present… In hopes that you may find something useful for your sonic palette. Experiment and try it yourself if you’re curious.

@darrenguitar yes, in a triple mic configuration. It was in conjunction with a 414. Pretty cool sound for heavy metal.

    well it depends, …
well it depends, have you checked your cables and your mic preamp/ interface. other than that idk why it would. dynamic mics in general are beyond tank strength. i mean, dropping it would do nothing so i would check your connections first. i have a e609 and it works fine. if not idk if there is something wrong with the presence switch on your 906 or if it was dropped in liquid at some point or what. but the only reason i could think is bad mic placement or bad connection, mic cable phase issues?

    That’s a good point …
That’s a good point, and something I learned the hard way. Not usually an issue I’ve noticed with loud guitar amps, but a very loud singer with a lot of plosives can defeat even the best pop filter. Of course, it’s wise not to exceed the manufacturers recommended SPL handling.

    be careful not to …
be careful not to overload your condenser mic though. They are much more sensative than dynamics.

    Logic express is …
Logic express is truly the best out there. Simply because it’s is SUPER cheap for what you get. It is also very universal and can do most of everything in recording.

Use Apple logic express if you have a mac. its awesome. Otherwise just use cubase. Its cheap or even free and I think it supports GTR rig.

    I have guitar rig 4 …
I have guitar rig 4 by native instruments, and i really need some advice on what program to use to record with it, and how to go about doing it. I’ve tried “audactity”, but it doesnt support guitar rig, and the sound quality without guitar rig sucks. Any help? :/

    …and the outro …
…and the outro song. If you want to hear examples, try experimenting on your own like everyone else. My exact setup would be impossible to duplicate anyway. Plus, the way something sounds on its own is not important at all. What matters is how it sounds in the context of a mix. Thus, putting up examples would be pointless IMHO.

    you look like you …
you look like you have good gear, but you didnt show any tones through the whole thing, other than the tone at the beginning which did not sound that good. I’d like to hear actual examples of all these set ups

nothing. use it if it works for the song. Personally, I’ve never found much use for emulated outs.
