    All very good points. If you are on a budget and you can’t afford any good DAW software right away, it’s always fine to start out with a free one like Audacity/Wavepad or if you’re a Mac user, utilize Garageband. All great free programs for little or no money. Thanks for your tips Dave! I’m just starting to put together my home studio after years of planning and working from smaller pieces of equipment. The money is always the hardest part of anything :/

Also, what program I need to buy for my Macbook in order to record a song? Also, macbook doesn’t have a hole to plug microphone. So I cannot hear my voice in the headphone. What can I do.     @redp69 because you will get unreliable versions with high probability of viruses, and the programs will be outdated as you will have to continually download cracked updates for the software.

    not cheap…1. if u have the right settings a cheaper mic like 150$ wood be good 2.the sound card on a computer anit all that bad for beggingers. 3.u can go to target and get a cheap 79.00 keyboard for midi or just use the computers keyboard(wit FL Studio)4. FL Studio is only like 100 or sumthin way better just u need to get sum more plugins and vsti’s 5.But you have good advice for people wit sum money to throw around i can build a decent studio wit like 500$ dollars which mines is about 500$
