I need a good photo studio package?

I’m looking for a really good amateur photo studio package so I can just buy everything at once, instead of paying 5 shipping charges. I need lighting, a backdrop stand and basic studio equipment. I’m looking to spend less than $500. Any help is appreciated!

This months shutterbug magazine is a lighting special that reviews several lighting packages suitable for home studio use. I would recommend you take a look at it and see which fits the way you shoot. There is even one in your price range that has a chart on setting the lights up

What sort of equipment would you suggest I invest in for a photography studio, name as many big or small items as possible please.

What will you be taking photographs of.

Different equipment is required to shoot cars than small still lifes or people etc.

Basics obviously are cameras, lights, stands, reflectors, backgrounds, props.

From there it is upto you.

why does the equipment in a fitness studio need electricity?

Is there a good reason the person using it can’t produce the electricity via a small electrical generator? Why can’t users of a fitness studio through their activity not produce enough electricity to run the electrics for the whole building? Or at least of the piece of equipment one is using?

This is less of an engineering question and more of an economics question. Most companies that build fitness equipment are not in the electronics industry. Thus it is much simpler for the firms to put out equipment that uses simple off the shelf components that plug into the wall. The circuitry and parts needed to do this are not ready to go in an easy to use fashion for a company that doesn’t really do much electronics engineering. Someday these types of packages might become widely available and be put into just about everything. If/When that day comes I am sure they will be implemented into the treadmill. Right now such a system would add a large cost into the treadmill, which will partially offset the monetary gains made by supplying its own power. A lot of time and effort would need to go into this system, so it is not just the additional component costs that have to be added in. Remember workout equipment often times is beat on and shaken a lot, so the electronics would also have to be somewhat rugged. Also, thing about something like a treadmill, it takes quite a lot of power to turn the path beneath you. This means that the energy storage system would have to be massive. This again adds a lot to the cost.

So to sum it up, it comes down to the economics. It would cost a lot, have very little short term gain (extra expense of machines), would take much longer to produce due to the larger engineering problem, and would wind up being bigger and taking up more space in the gym.

Why does live music sound so much worse than studio recorded music?

I am not such a big fan of live music, some of it is good, but why is it that the studio recorded music sounds that much better? Do the singers, have a different way to vocalize???

sound engineers have control over the "room" the "space" and complete ability to mold and shape sound in that room, lots of takes, lots of layers, etc.

Live, they have to deal with the acoustics of a club or hall, noise, Its live, no alternate takes and less opportunity to layer the sound, especially when they are recording amplifiers or using open mics.

That is very hard to say because it would vary from state to state.

You could call your local electric company and ask for statistics.

I’m looking for the first Foo Fighters album that ever got a Grammy. I remember Dave Grohl saying in an interview once, that it was recorded in a makeshift home studio.

Umm, they’re two different things, the album that Dave Grohl recorded himself that was then handed out to members of the music industry was Foo Fighters and that was in 1995, but the albums that the Foo Fighters received Grammies for were "There is Nothing left to lose" and "Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace"

Im planning to go to Animal Kingdom and then Hollywood Studios in 1 day. We are going to Animal Kingdom first (8am to about 4pm) and then Hollywood Studios (4pm to 11:30pm)! I know Disney has plenty of shows but what time do they usually stop showing them? We are planing to see all the shows!

I work at Hollywood Studios. If you could, could you say what day you are going? The park and shows times open and close at different times through the day. If you want to know specifically, just ask ANY cast member at a stand for a "Times Guide", and they will give it to you. It list every show in the park and what time they close. Next week, the park is open until 8:30 PM. You should go when there EMH(Extra Magic Hours), when the park is open later. But overall, on average, the shows will close around 5:30. Some earlier, some later. Most a little later. PLEASE drop me an email to tell me the date you plan on going. I can provide you with better information there
